The 4A East Regional Boys and Girls Basketball Tournament gets underway this Thursday at Sheridan High School. The top four teams in both divisions advance to the state tournament March 10-12 in Casper.

4A EAST BOYS AT SHERIDAN:

#1 Gillette and #2 Laramie receive a first round bye, and have automatically qualified for the state tournament!

Central wins coin-flip vs. Kelly Walsh for #5 seed.

Thursday, March 3rd:

#6 Kelly Walsh (1-23) vs. #3 Sheridan (16-6) - 5:30pm

#5 Cheyenne  Central (2-20) vs. #4 Cheyenne East (11-11) – 8:30pm

Friday, March 4th:

Kelly Walsh/Sheridan winner vs. #2 Laramie (13-10) – 5:30pm

Central/East winner vs. #1 Gillette (21-2) – 8:30pm

Saturday, March 5th:

Friday’s losers vs. each other – 11:30am (3rd Place Game)

Friday’s winners vs. each other – 2:30pm (CHAMPIONSHIP)

4A EAST GIRLS AT SHERIDAN

Sheridan gets #1 seed over Gillette, due to common opponents tie-breaker. Sheridan has a better winning percentage vs. Natrona, compared to Gillette (1-0 vs. 1-1).

Laramie gets #3 seed over East, due to common opponents tie-breaker. Laramie has a win vs. Evanston, whereas East does not.

#1 Sheridan and #2 Gillette receive a first round bye, and have automatically qualified for the state tournament!

Thursday, March 3rd:

#5 Cheyenne  Central (18-7) vs. #4 Cheyenne  East (16-8) – 4pm

#6 Kelly Walsh (4-19)  vs. #3 Laramie (16-5)– 7pm

Friday, March 4th:

Kelly Walsh/Laramie winner vs. #2 Gillette (17-5) – 4pm

Central/East winner vs. #1 Sheridan (19-3)– 7pm

Saturday, March 5th:
