NEW YORK (AP) — The Miami New Times says it had obtained files through an employee at a recently closed clinic in the Miami area that show Alex Rodriguez purchased HGH and other substances. Other players on the list include 2012 All-Star game MVP Melky Cabrera, 2012 Cy Young Award finalist Gio (JEE'-oh) Gonzalez, former Cy Young Award winner Bartolo Colon (bahr-TOH'-loh kuh-LOHN') and Nelson Cruz. MLB says it has actively been involved in the issues in South Florida, through its Department of Investigations and will have "no further comment until that investigation has concluded."

DENVER (AP) — Colorado Rockies pitcher Jhoulys Chacin (JOOL'-ees chah-SEEN') has avoided arbitration by finalizing a two-year, $6.5 million contract. The 25-year-old right-hander is coming off an injury-plagued season in which he went 3-5 with a 4.43 ERA. He has a 3.68 ERA for his career, the second-lowest by a Colorado pitcher with at least 50 starts.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The Rams have decided not to give their defensive coordinator's job to Rob Ryan, who spent two years in that capacity with the Dallas Cowboys before he was fired following the season finale. The Rams did hire Frank Bush as linebackers coach as head coach Jeff Fisher continues to fill out his staff. Bush was with the Titans the last two seasons and prior to that was defensive coordinator for four seasons with the Texans.

CLEVELAND (AP) — The Golden State Warriors are without starters Stephen Curry, Andrew Bogut and Harrison Barnes for tonight's game against Cleveland. Coach Mark Jackson says he doesn't know how long he'll be without Curry, who twisted his surgically-repaired right ankle in last night's game. Barnes injured his left knee against Toronto last night, and Bogut is prevented from playing back-to-back games after missing 38 contests with an injured left ankle.

NEW YORK (AP)— NBA players' association executive director Billy Hunter has fired his daughter and daughter-in-law from the union, less than two weeks after a review criticized his hiring practices. In a letter to the union's special committee of players, dated Jan. 23, Hunter informed them that Robyn Hunter was to be let go as of Jan. 25 and that Megan Inaba would leave her job on Feb. 17. The review by the firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP said Hunter's hiring of family and friends had "damaged the union."
