Boys Basketball Polls: Changes On Top Of 4A And 2A
Gillette and Big Horn are the new number one's in this week's Wyopreps.com, Coach's and Media boys basketball polls. Gillette moves up one with a win over then number three Sheridan, coupled with Rock Springs losing to unranked Riverton 73-70 at home Saturday picked up all eleven first place votes. The Tigers are number two followed by Evanston who was fourth last week, Sheridan falls to fourth and Natrona with a spilt, loss to Rock Springs and a win over Green River remains fifth. In the 2A, Big Horn replaces Lovell as the number one ranked team. Big Horn who remains unbeaten at 17-0 picked up 16 of the 18 first place votes. Lovell who fell to the second spot after a loss in overtime to fourth ranked Wyoming Indian 86-85 picked up the remaining two first place votes. Kemmerer, Wyoming Indian and Lusk remain the same as last week. In 3A, Buffalo remains number one with all 16 first place votes. Torrington and Wheatland flip flop spaces after Trailblazers beat the Bulldogs 47-45. Rawlins moves up one to fourth with two wins and Douglas drops one to fifth after two losses including to top ranked Buffalo 73-46. And in 1A, the other unbeaten Snake River 16-0 stays on top with all eight first place votes. St. Stephens remains at number two. Kaycee and Hanna switched at three and four, and Ten Sleep stays at fifth.
