Say What?

What up people? I really thought the “bountygate” deal showed that people were really horrified to learn that pay for play was actually going on. It was a sad thing to most of us football fans to know that players were being singled out to get hurt or taken out the game all together.

The quarterback for Kansas City was knocked out of the game last weekend, and the fans cheered. How sad is that? Is that any different than the players trying to take guys out? C’mon man, how could fans actually cheer that someone got hurt? Yeah, Kansas City isn’t doing that great, but does that make it okay to cheer because the quarterback got hurt? That really saddened me and thought how hypocritical people can be.

Okay, I will get off of that and move on to something else. Drew Brees passed the record set by Johnny Unitas for number of games with a touchdown pass at 48 games. That was cool. Johnny was my dad’s favorite player when I was a kid growing up, and I had a lot of respect for the man and how he played and really revolutionized the position of quarterback. Drew Brees is without question an elite quarterback, and a class act and deserves the accolades he received.

Speaking of the Colts, I think they can feel good about having Andrew Luck as their franchise quarterback. That was evident in the game against the Packers. He didn’t loose his cool, he rose to the challenge and came back and won the game for Indianapolis. Good for him. Made me sad, though…Green Bay being my team and all; but being an all-around football fan I give credit where credit is due and so it goes.

The Broncos just seem like they don’t start playing like a team until late in the third quarter. Their timing just isn’t quite there yet, but I still believe they will come around. I can see similarities in both the Broncos and the Packers in how critical the Center position is in this game.

I am watching this Jets and Texans game, and wonder if the Jets will figure out who they are as a team. It looks like it could work having Sanchez and Tebow switching back and forth at quarterback, but then again, the timing is at issue and of course there are egos to deal with, too.

That’s just my opinion, keep it real!
