The Denver Broncos improved to 2-2 on the season by blasting rival Oakland 37-6 Sunday afternoon at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium. Bronco quarterback Peyton Manning threw for 338 yards and 3 touchdowns in a game Denver never trailed. Bronco runningback Willis McGahee rushed for 112 yards  and the Denver defense shut down Raider's runningback Dareen Mcfadden to just 34 yards on 13 carries. The Broncos have a big challenge on the road this Sunday as they travel to New England to take on Tom Brady and the Patriots who even their record as well beating Buffalo 52-28. Brady threw for 340 yards and 3 touchdowns, and the New England offense rolled up 580 total yards.

The Wyoming Cowboys had last weekend off and will have their Mountain West Conference opener this Saturday at Nevada. The Pokes 2 weeks ago beat Idaho on the road 40-37 in overtime as quarterback Brett Smith threw 5 touchdown passes. That's the kind of offense they'll need this Saturday as they face a Nevada team that is averaging 42 points a game. Wyoming is 1-3 on the season and Nevada is 4-1 coming off a 34-21 win over Texas State. Kickoff is at 5:05pm on AM 1030 KTWO.

Both Casper schools came up with victories on Friday night in 4A football. The top ranked Natrona Mustangs handled 3rd ranked Cheyenne East 34-2, and the Kelly Walsh Trojans on the road beat Rock Springs 25-20. The Trojans (3-3) travel to Cheyenne South (0-6) on Friday night in the Prep Game of the Week on AM 1400 ESPN at 7:00pm. The Mustangs (6-0) host Evanston (2-4) Friday.

In Baseball, the Colorado Rokies lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-1 as the Dodgers won their 5th straight in a row and stay alive in the National League wild card hunt. The Rockies with an already franchise record 97 losses this season close out with a 3 game series at Arizona starting tonight.

In golf, a stunning conclusion to the Ryder Cup outside of Chicago, the European team rallied from a 10-6 deficit going into Sunday's play, rallied and beat the United States 14 1/2 to 13 1/3 to retain the cup. It's the largest comeback in the history of the Ryder Cup, repeated by the Americans back in 1999. In the 12 single matches that were played on Sunday, Europe won 8 of them and tied another.

On the NASCAR circuit, Brad Keslowski won yesterday's race in the Chase for the Cup in Dover just cruising along and conserving fuel. Keslowski now leads in the Chase points, 5 more than Jimmie Johnson heading into this weeks race at Talladega.
