Tom Parker, the longtime rodeo coach for Casper College has died at the age of 69. Parker took over the T-Bird program from the legendary Dale Stiles in 1990 and won 3 Central Rocky Mountain regional championships over a 5 year period, beginning in 2011. He also served as one of the arena directors for the College National Finals, was a past faculty director for the Central Rocky Mountain Region and a board member for the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. Parker was also heavily involved in high school rodeo in the state. With 25 years on the job at Casper College, he had positive effect on countless cowboys and cowgirls. Prior to coming to Casper College, Parker taught Ag in Cody and Torrington High Schools and was a graduate of the University of Wyoming.
