Casper Oilers Go 1-2 Over The Weekend

The Casper Oilers American Legion Baseball team went 1-2 in the opening games of the 2011 season in their Snowball Series at Mike Lansing Field. The Oilers spilt on Saturday losing to Cheyenne 7-2 and beating Jackson 20-3. Casper lost to Gillette Sunday 20-7. Cheyenne Post 6 is the two-time defending state champions and winner of nine of the last ten state tournaments.

Next up for the Oilers will be at the Gillette Snowball Series April 30 and May 1. They will play the Sheridan Troopers at noon on Saturday April 30. Then on Sunday May 1 the Oilers will play Cheyenne at 9:30 am and then take on the host team, the Gillette Roughriders at noon.
