Whether it's a fender-bender or something more serious, the Casper Police Department is launching an increased effort to reduce crashes in the City. The Traffic Unit and other officers will be working areas and intersections that statistics show are prone to a high number of vehicle crashes. CPD says each week they'll use their Facebook page to post the areas getting the extra attention, all in an effort to decrease crashes.

During the week of February 26th, Casper Police will be concentrating their efforts on East 2nd Street between South Center and South McKinley.

From Casper Police:

"CPD knows that when vehicle crashes go down, so does automobile insurance and health insurance costs. Make sure to be mindful of the traffic laws, as you travel through our great city!"

We'll also post the weekly locations here.
