Trindon Holliday returned a team record 105 yard kickoff to spark the Denver Broncos to a 31-23 road win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon. Quarterback Peyton Manning threw for 3 touchdowns 2 of them in the 4th quarter after throwing 2 interceptions that led to 10 Bengal points. The Broncos (5-3) are at Carolina next Sunday.

The Wyoming Cowboys finally posted a win, beating Colorado State in the Border War in Laramie 45-31 Saturday afternoon at War Memorial Stadium. The Pokes jumped all over the Rams in the first half, although UW let CSU back in the game somewhat in the 2nd half. Cowboy quarterback Brett Smith threw 4 touchdown passes and ran for a 5th. Blair Burns had a huge play with a 98 yard interception for a touchdown. Both teams are now 2-7 on the season, and with the win the Cowboys have now won the Bronze Boot 4 years in a row, something UW hasn't done since 1970's. The Cowboys are at New Mexico this Saturday.

In junior college volleyball, Casper College made a remarkable run through the Region-IX North Tournament in Powell winning the championship Saturday afternoon. The T-Birds defeated 12th ranked Western Wyoming 3 games to 1, after Western beat Casper in 4 games in the first title match. It's Casper College's first regional volleyball championship since 2008. They will now advance to the National JUCO Tournament in West Plains, Missouri starting on Thursday November 15th.

Wyoming's high school state football championship games will be played this Friday and Saturday at War Memorial Stadium at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. In 4A, Natrona will take on Gillette at 4:00pm on Saturday. The 6-Man title game will kick things off on Friday with Snake River going for a 3rd straight championship against Dubois. At 3:00pm Friday has Star Valley taking on defending champion Powell. On Saturday at 10:00am the 2A championship with Lyman playing defending state champion Lovell followed by the 1A championship with Southeast and Lusk. Auto racing on the NASCAR Circuit, Jimmie Johnson won Sunday's Chase for the Cup race in Texas beating Brad Keslowski on a 2 lap shoot-out. Johnson now leads Keslowski by 7 points in the Sprint Cup standings with 2 races remaining.
