Monday Night Football, the Denver Broncos lost to the Atlanta Falcons 27-21 at Georgia Dome. Bronco quarterback Peyton Manning had a bad first quarter, throwing 3 interceptions leading to 10 Falcon points.

Manning did rally the team in the 4th quarter to make a game of it as the Broncos trailed by 20 going into the 4th quarter. Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan threw his 100th touchdown pass and was 24 of 36 for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns. Denver is now 1-1 and will host Houston on Sunday. Atlanta is 2-0 and is one of 6 teams in the NFL unbeaten.

The Wyoming Cowboys travel to Idaho Saturday in the battle of 0-3 teams. The Pokes are trying to shake off an embarassing loss to Cal Poly 24-22 on Saturday in Laramie. The Cowboys will be shorthanded yet again this week. Quarterback Brett Smith is listed as doubtful for the game after suffering a concussion in the Toledo game. Receiver Robert Herron is also doubtful and hasn't played since the Texas game. Running back Brandon Miller who is injured will more in likely not play Saturday. Again the Cowboys will rely on backup quarterback Colby Kirkegaard who was 15 of 23 for 123 yards and 1 interception against Cal Poly. Kickoff is at 3pm Saturday from Moscow, Idaho and can be heard on AM 1030 KTWO.

The Colorado Rockies dropped a 2-1 decision to San Francisco on Monday night. Brandon Crawford tripled, doubled and scored on a passed ball for the Giants. Rockies starting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin gave up 1 run and 5 hits in 5 innings of work. Those 2 two teams play again tonight in San Francisco.

In College volleyball, Wyoming Cowgirl Jody Purdy was named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week after the Cowgirls posted 2 wins in the Ball State Tournament, beating Wright State and Pittsburgh. It's the 4th time in Purdy's career that she has won the player of the week award.

In Junior College volleyball, Casper College will be on the road tonight in Sheridan. The T-Birds won 3 of 4 matches in a tournament in Sterling, Colorado over the weekend.
