Final 2A & 1A Boys Basketball Polls
The final Wyopreps.com/Coach's/Media polls for 2A and 1A boys basketball is out this week, prior to their regional tournaments. Unbeaten Big Horn (22-0) and Snake River (20-2) are the number one ranked teams in their respective divisions. In the 2A poll, Big Horn picked up 13 of the 18 first place votes followed by Lovell with five first place votes. They are followed by Wyoming Indian, Kemmerer and Lusk. That poll remained unchanged from last week. In the 1A, Snake River and fifth ranked Ten Sleep were the only teams to remain in their spots from last week. St. Stephens moves back at number two after Kaycee stumbled against Ten Sleep last week, 64-59. Hanna moves to third and Kaycee drops to fourth. The 4A rankings remain the same with Gillette on top with eight of the ten first place votes followed by Rock Springs with the remaining two first place ballots. They are followed by Natrona, Evanston and Laramie. The only change in 3A is that Powell moves back into the poll tied with Douglas at fifth. The 1A and 2A teams play their regionals throughout the state, with qualifying teams heading for Casper next week for state. The 4A and 3A teams wrap up the regular season this weekend.
