After enjoying an early 1-0 lead, the Casper Ghosts (6-11) were never really in the game last night as the Idaho Falls Chukars (9-8) once again had the better offense and defense. The Ghosts are now 1-5 against the Chukars. Announcer Adam Spolane had this to say in his game recap:

Through eight innings, the Casper Ghosts managed just one run on three hits, as they fell 8-4 to the Idaho Falls Chukars in game two of a three game series at Melaleuca Field.

In the second inning, the Ghosts grabbed the lead. Francisco Sosa started the inning with a single, then Carl Thomore walked. They both moved up on a double steal, and Sosa scored on a sacrifice fly by Matt Aryropoulos to give the Ghosts a 1-0 lead.

The Chukars scored three runs on five singles in the bottom of the third to take a 3-1 lead. The first five batters in the inning reached, but they had a runner thrown out at the plate by Julian Yan, and they left two men on base.
