Girls Basketball Polls: No. 1’s Remain The Same
Sheridan, Douglas, Lovell and Snake River remain number one in their respective classes in the lastest Wyopreps.com, Coach's and Media girls basketball polls this week. Sheridan not only remains on top of the 4A poll, but is the lone unbeaten in all of Wyoming high school girls basketball at 15-0. The Lady Broncs also picked up all 11 first place votes. No changes in the 4A top five as far as teams are concerned. Gillette remains second followed by Cheyenne Central. Laramie is fourth and Cheyenne East is fifth. They were tied for fourth last week. Douglas is a unanimous number one in 3A with all 19 first place votes. Mountain View moves up to second. Buffalo despite a 39-34 loss at Douglas is third and Wheatland fourth. Cody drops to fifth with a loss at Worland. There was four different teams in the 2A poll that picked up first place votes. Lovell remains on top despite a double overtime loss to Wyoming Indian last Friday night 91-84. The Lady Bulldogs received nine first place ballots. They are followed by Rocky Mountain with one first place vote. Big Horn who fell from the unbeaten ranks by Rocky Mountain Saturday night 51-31 is third with four first place votes. And Wyoming Indian picked up a first place vote and is fourth followed by Tongue River. And in 1A, Snake River is still number one. two through four remain the same with Kaycee, Cokeville and Burlington. Meeteetse is fifth replacing Guernsey-Sunrise.
