SAN ANTONIO (AP) — The NBA Finals are all tied up at two wins apiece. Playing in San Antonio the Miami Heat beat the Spurs in Game 4, 109-93. The win by the Heat guarantees a return trip to Miami for a sixth game. Game 5 will be played in San Antonio Sunday.

Miami's Big Two, LeBron James and Dwyne Wade, led the attack as James hit the nets for 33 with Wade adding 32. James also had 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The third of Miami's big players, Chris Bosh, had 20 points and 13 rebounds.

Tony Parker led the way for the Spurs with 15 points and nine assists while playing through a sore right hamstring.

NEW YORK (AP) — For the first time in a long time Jason Kidd can call himself a rookie. The NBA star, who retired recently, has been announced as the new head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.

He replaces interim coach P.J. Carlesimo (kar-LIHS'-ih-moh), who was let go at the end of the season.

The 40-year old Kidd played in the pros 19 years and starred as a point guard. He played for the Nets when they were based in New Jersey and helped lead the team to the playoffs in 2002-2003. He is second on the NBA's career list in assists and steals, won an NBA title with Dallas and has two Olympic gold medals.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Maurice Cheeks has been introduced as the new head coach of the Detroit Pistons. He takes over for the fired Lawrence Franks. Cheeks is the Pistons fourth coach in six seasons. For the former NBA guard, this is his third stint as an NBA head coach, after leading the Trail Blazers and 76ers. His career record is 284-286.
