UNDATED (AP) — The Brooklyn Nets have made great strides this season, but they still can't beat the Miami Heat.

The Heat outscored the Nets 56-36 in the second half to turn a tie game into their 13th consecutive win over Brooklyn, 105-85. LeBron James provided 24 points, nine rebounds and seven assists as Miami bounced back from Sunday's double-overtime loss to Boston. Dwyane (dwayn) Wade finished with 21 points and Chris Bosh added 16 to help the Eastern Conference-leading Heat stay 1 ½ games ahead of New York.

The Knicks used dominant performances from two of their big men in a 113-97 win over the Orlando Magic. Tyson Chandler shot 10-for-11 from the field and finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and a season-high five assists. Amare Stoudemire (ah-MAR'-ay STOW'-duh-my-ur) hit all seven of his shots and scored 14 points in the Knicks' third win over the Magic this season.

The Lakers blew a 78-65 lead over the final 10 minutes and finished without Dwight Howard, who reinjured his right shoulder with seven minutes left.

Indiana was a 98-74 winner over Detroit behind Roy Hibbert's 18 points and 11 rebounds. Tyler Hansbrough came off the bench to contribute 14 points and 11 boards in just 17 minutes.

Paul Pierce scored 16 points and Boston raced out to a 59-38 halftime lead in a 99-81 win over Sacramento. Kevin Garnett added 13 points for the Celtics, who shot 62.5 in the opening half and won their second straight since starting point guard Rajon Rondo (RAH'-zhahn RAHN'-doh) went down with a season-ending knee injury.

Paul Millsap capped his 25-point night by hitting two free throws in the waning seconds of Utah's 104-99 verdict over New Orleans. Al Jefferson's 22 points helped the Jazz rally from a 12-point deficit.

UNDATED (AP) — The Memphis Grizzlies currently sit fourth in the NBA's Western Conference and own the league's fifth-best record. That isn't stopping them from dealing their leading scorer in a three-team swap with Toronto and Detroit.

The Grizzlies sent swingman Rudy Gay and backup center Hamed Haddadi to the Raptors for point guard Jose Calderon and forward Ed Davis. Calderon was then shipped to the Pistons for Austin Daye and Tayshaun Prince.

Gay is averaging 17.2 points and 5.9 rebounds this season and is due $37 million for the next two seasons. Trading away Gay also eases a luxury tax hit due next season, while concentrating the team around center Marc Gasol and All-Star forward Zach Randolph.

Memphis coach Lionel Hollins had been lobbying to keep his five starters together the rest of this season.

Calderon is averaging 11.1 points and 7.4 assists this season.
