High School Girls Basketball Polls
The latest wyopreps.com/Coach's/Media girls basketball polls has Sheridan, Douglas, Lovell and Snake River remaining number one this week. Sheridan and Lovell picked up enough polling points to remain on top despite losses last week.
The Lady Broncs lost for the first time this season to third ranked Laramie 69-58 and Lovell lost to 3A third ranked Cody 49-43. Elsewhere in the 4A poll, Laramie moves up to second with their wins over Sheridan and second ranked Gillette. Gillette drops to third with Natrona up to fourth and Cheyenne Central in Fifth. In 3A, the top five remains the same with Douglas on top with all 21 first place votes. They are followed by Mountain View, Cody, Wheatland and Buffalo. In the 2A , four of the top five teams picked up first place votes. Tongue River makes the biggest move, going from fifth to third with their victory over Big Horn 44-38 who was ranked third last week. And in 1A, the only change has Burlington and Kaycee switching number two and three spots. Kaycee lost to unranked Meeteetse 41-33.
