High School Girls Basketball: Top Five Polls
The final 2A and 1A girls basketball polls from wyopreps.com/Coach's/Media is out today. Lovell and Snake River head into the post season as the number one ranked teams.
Lovell picked up nine of the eleven first place votes in 2A. Rocky Mountain remains second with Tongue River third. Wyoming Indian moves up to fourth combined with Big Horn's loss to Rocky Mountain last week 54-50. Big Horn is fifth. In the 1A, Snake River and Burlington remain one and two in the final poll. Cokeville moves up to third after Kaycee lost to Burlington 46-38. Kaycee is fourth and Meeteetse is back into the poll after Chugwater lost to the Burns JV 43-40. A big chance in 4A girls hoops as number one Sheridan and number two Laramie lost last week. Gillette is the new number one followed by Sheridan and Laramie. Natrona and Cheyenne Central remain at fourth and fifth. The only change in the 3A poll has Torrington moving in at the number five spot after they knocked off Buffalo who was fifth last week, 63-55. The 4A and 3A teams will wrap up the regular season this weekend.
