The Kelly Walsh soccer teams were in action on Wednesday afternoon, hosting the Green River Wolves in a make-up match from last weeks weather cancellation. In the girls game, Green River scored early in the 2nd half thanks to Taylor Stroeger but KW answered in the last minute of the match as Chelsea Thornburgh scored on a penalty kick. The teams played 2, 10 minute overtimes but the match ended in a 1-1 tie. Green River is now 10-3-2 on the year and KW stands at 6-7-1. In the boys match, Kelly Walsh scored the first 2 goals, Robert George came through in the 19th minute and Alex Perez tallied in the 31st minute. Green River scored the next 3 as the Trojans absorbed an own goal. Then Tanner Trumble tied the match at 2 all in the 45th minute. Taten Knight gave the Wolves the lead in the 53rd minute. Green River wins 3-2 to get to 8-6-1 on the season. Kelly Walsh drops to 3-11.
