Miami Slips Past Clemson – Top 25 News And Scores For February 18th

UNDATED (AP) — Third-ranked Miami struggled Sunday afternoon before keeping its perfect conference record intact.

Kenny Kadji hit a go-ahead three-pointer with 36 seconds left as the Hurricanes pulled out a 45-43 win at Clemson. The Hurricanes finished with their fewest points of the season, and their high-scoring guard duo of Durand Scott and Shane Larkin combined for just 10 points on 3-of-16 shooting.

Kadji finished with 12 points to help Miami improve to 12-0 in the ACC, the league's longest undefeated start since Duke went 16-0 in 1998-99.

The day's lone matchup of top-25 teams became a mismatch as 20th-ranked Wisconsin blasted No. 13 Ohio State 71-49 at Madison. Ben Brust and Jared Berggren each had 15 points for the Badgers, who avenged a January loss to the Buckeyes and improved to 9-4 in the Big Ten. The Badgers took control with an 18-0 run in the first half that lasted more than 7 minutes and put them up 24-6.

The Buckeyes dropped to 8-5, three games behind conference co-leaders Michigan State and Indiana.

Michigan remains tied for third with the Badgers in the Big Ten after the fourth-ranked Wolverines knocked off Penn State 79-71. Trey Burke scored a season-high 29 points and freshman Glen Robinson III matched a career high with 21 as Michigan won for only the second time in its last five games.

In other top-25 action, ninth-ranked Arizona got 18 points from Mark Lyons and 10 from freshman Brandon Ashley in a 68-64 win over Utah. The win snapped a two-game skid for the Wildcats.

No. 12 Louisville stayed within a game of first place in the Big East with a 59-41 win over South Florida. Russ Smith scored 15 points and had six rebounds for the Cardinals.
