ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan posted an easy victory in its first game since moving to the top of The Associated Press men's basketball poll for the first time since 1992-93.

Trey Burke scored 18 points and had eight assists as the Wolverines whipped Northwestern 68-46. Michigan hit 10 of its first 11 shots and didn't commit a first-half turnover.

The Wolverines won without forward Jordan Morgan, who sprained his right ankle last weekend.

In other top-25 action, Cody Zeller scored 13 of his 19 points in the first half as No. 3 Indiana blasted Purdue 97-60, the Boilermakers' worst loss at Mackey Arena. Christian Watford added 17 points in the Hoosiers' fourth straight win, which keeps them tied with Michigan for the Big Ten lead.

Kenny Boynton and Mike Rosario each scored 15 points as fourth-ranked Florida silenced South Carolina 75-36. The Gators led 33-10 by halftime and improved to 7-0 in the SEC with their ninth straight win.

Fifth-ranked Duke needed most of Mason Plumlee's career-high 32 points to beat Wake Forest 75-70. Seth Curry added 21 points, including a tiebreaking 3-pointer in the final minutes.

No. 10 Oregon was crushed on the road as Chasson Randle had 17 points in Stanford's 76-52 rout of the Ducks. Josh Huestis chipped in 14 points and 14 rebounds, and Dwight Powell also had a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards.

Shane Larkin scored 25 points and No. 14 Miami earned its eighth straight win by downing Virginia Tech 73-64. Kenny Kadji added 18 points for the Hurricanes who trailed by 12 in the first half before getting a 22-6 burst spanning halftime.

No. 17 Missouri lost on the road as Anthony Hickey scored 20 points and Andre Stringer added 18 in LSU's 73-70 triumph over the Tigers. Hickey had 14 points in the second half and Stringer converted a key four-point play late in the game for the Tigers.

Kansas State's two-game skid is over after Thomas Gibson scored 17 points off the bench to lead the 18th-rated Wildcats to an 83-57 rout of Texas. Omari Lawrence also scored 12 in a reserve role for the Wildcats, who built a 38-19 lead by halftime.

Cameron Bairstow scored 17 points to lead No. 20 New Mexico over Wyoming 63-59.

Doug McDermott scored 29 points and made five of Creighton's 15 3-pointers in the No. 21 Bluejays' 91-77 victory over Missouri State.

Sean Kilpatrick scored 19 points and No. 24 Cincinnati overcame a 10-point deficit to beat Rutgers 62-54.
