Natrona capped an undefeated season with a very convincing state championship victory over Gillette 35-7 Saturday night in Laramie. Natrona rushed for 326 yards, including 184 yards from Thomas Myler. Myler who was one of the mainstays on defense came into Saturday's game with only 6 carries and 33 yards on the season. The Mustangs defense the best in 4A proved that Saturday night. Gillette quarterback Austin Fort had a rough night passing completing only 7 of 33 for 41 yards.Gillette's offense was held under 100 yards total offense until the final drive when they scored.  Natrona finished 12-0 and becomes the first 4A team to finish unbeaten since 2004.

Powell in 3A, Lyman in 2A and Dubois in 6-Man also completed undefeated seasons with state championships. Southeast won the 1A title despite having a 7-3 season. Powell has won back-to-back titles and carries a 14-game win streak into next season. Lyman, Dubois and Southeast were state runnerups last year.
