Natrona used some home cookin' as they upset number one Kelly Walsh in the annual Volleybowl, volleyball match on Tuesday night. It was a great win for the Mustangs as the state volleyball tournament is just two weeks away.

Scores were 25-22, 25-20, 20-25 and 25-23. Abbie Einer had 14 kills and Liz Meyer with 13 kills for NC. Alie Hedlund with 13 kills and Chyanna Esau with 12 kills for KW. Natrona is now 3-5 in west conference play and Kelly Walsh suffered their first loss and now stands at 7-1 in conference play. Conference tournament is next week with the state volleyball tournament October 27-29 at the Casper Events Center.

The Denver Broncos finally installed TIm Tebow at starting quarterback, replacing the struggling Kyle Orton. The Broncos are 1-4 after a loss to San Diego on Sunday. Tebow who replaced Orton in the second half was 4 of 10, scored a touchdown, threw for one, but also fumbled three snaps. The Broncos have its bye week this week before playing at Miami next Sunday.

Womens college basketball and the preseason poll for the Mountain West Conference has the Wyoming Cowgirls predicted to finish fifth this season. Wyoming went 24-9 last year and won two games in the WNIT. This  looks like to be a rebuilding year for Head Coach Joe Legerski, replacing conference player of the year Aubrey Vandiver and fellow first-team pick Hillary Carlson.
