Top ranked Natrona plays their home opener Friday night at Cheney Alumni Field when they host Cheyenne Central. The Mustags (2-0) are coming off a win at Sheridan last Friday night 38-13.

The fifth ranked Indians (1-1) picked up their first win of the season defeating Cheyenne South 49-6. Kickoff is at 7:00pm with the pregame show at 6:45pm on AM 1400 ESPN. Kelly Walsh (1-1) coming off that big road victory over Evanston 17-0 will host Laramie (0-2). The rest of the 4A schedule has a couple of top five teams matching up as #2-Gillette (2-0) will visit #3-Cheyenne East (2-0).  Fourth ranked Sheridan (1-1) will be at South (0-2). And Evanston (0-2) is at Rock Springs (1-1).

Junior College volleyball from Wednesday night as Casper College dropped a 3-1 match to Northeastern Colorado of Sterling at Erickson Gym. Scores were 25-22, 21-25, 25-17 and 25-21. The T-Birds drop to 5-6 on the season. NJC is 6-1. Casper College will host Eastern Wyoming of Torrington Saturday at 5pm.

The Wyoming Cowboys have their home opener this Saturday afternoon when they host Toledo. Both teams come in at 0-1 with the Pokes losing at Texas 37-17, and Toledo losing to Arizona. Kickoff is at 2:00pm with the pregame show at 1:00 on AM 1030 KTWO. The Cowboys are also adding a couple of schools for future schedules. UW will play at Michigan State in 2014. That's the same season they have a road game scheduled at Oregon. The Cowboys have also signed home and home contracts with Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

The NFL season kicked off Wednesday night as the Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants 24-17. Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo threw for  3 touchdowns and 307 yards. The Denver Broncos host the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday night.
