UNDATED (AP) — The New York Rangers and Washington Capitals are tied at two games apiece in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals after the Blueshirts posted their second straight 4-3 win at Madison Square Garden.

Dan Girardi snapped a 2-2 deadlock 59 seconds into the third period before Derek Stepan (STEP'-ahn) made it 4-2 just over five minutes later. But the Rangers had to hang on after Karl Alzner beat Henrik Lundqvist 89 seconds after Stepan's goal.

Carl Hagelin (HAG'-uh-lihn) provided a goal and two assists to support Lundqvist, who made 14 of his 27 saves in the final period.

Game 5 is Friday in Washington.

David Krejci's (KRAY'-cheez') third goal of the night has given Boston a three-games-to-one lead in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals. Krejci scored 13:06 into overtime to complete the Bruins' 4-3 win at Toronto. He tallied twice in a 3:40 span of the second period to put the Bruins ahead 3-2, but the lead evaporated once Clark MacArthur scored 44 seconds later.

Tuukka (TOO'-kah) Rask stopped 49 shots for the Bruins, who trailed 2-0 in the first period.

Anaheim's Nick Bonino scored 1:54 into overtime to give Anaheim a 3-2 victory and a three-games-to-two lead over Detroit in the Western Conference quarterfinals. Ryan Getzlaf provided the equalizer in the final minute of the second period after Kyle Palmeiri scored the Ducks' first goal.

Jonas Hiller turned back 29 shots and was perfect after Mikael Samuelsson scored midway through the second period.

Henrik Zetterberg had two assists for the Red Wings, who host Game 6 on Friday.

Los Angeles blew a pair of one-goal leads before grabbing a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference quarterfinals.

Slava Voynov scored eight minutes into overtime as the Kings earned a 3-2 triumph at St. Louis. Jeff Carter scored twice, and Mike Richards and Anze Kopitar (AHN'-zhay KOH-pih-tahr) each had two assists in the Kings' third straight win.

Jonathan Quick made 34 saves against the Blues, who forced overtime on Alex Pietrangelo's (peh-TRAN'-jeh-lohz) goal with just 45 seconds left in regulation.
