Police in Riverton are investigating an incident in which a man reported having shot another person.

Chief of Police Eric Murphy said in a statement Monday morning that officers were called to the 300 block of North 12th Street East at about 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

The police response came after a man called 911 and said he had shot someone.

Police say they are still investigating details of the incident, but there is no danger to the public.

No arrests had been made as of Monday morning.

Lt. Wes Romero confirmed that no one was killed in the incident, but was unable to release further details.
