Rockies Acquire Marco Scutaro From Boston

The Colorado Rockies in their endless search for a starting 2nd baseman, hopefully found one in Marco Scutaro. He was acquired from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for pitcher Clayton Mortenson.

Scutaro hit .299 in  113 games with the Red Sox last season. The Rockies 2nd base spot opened up when Mark Ellis left the team and signed a 2-year deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In men's college basketball, the Wyoming Cowboys with a big home game as they'll host 13th ranked San Diego State at the AA in Laramie tonight. The Aztecs are 17-2 and 3-0 in the Mountain West. The Pokes are 16-3 and 2-1 in conference play. UW is coming off a very strong effort beating Colorado State 70-51 on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is at 6:30 and on AM 1030 KTWO.

The Wyoming Cowgirls are on the road at San Diego State. The Cowgirls are 6-11 overall and 2-2 in the  Mountain West Conference. SDSU is 14-4 and 4-0 in the conference. Tip-off is at 8:30pm.
