The Colorado Rockies finally beat St. Louis 3-2 as pitcher Jorge De La Rosa held the Cardinals hit less through 7 innings. Troy Tulowitski hit a 3 run homer which were the first runs the Rockies have produced in 28 innings. Back in 2010, the Rockies went 30 straight innings without scoring a run. The team also put outfielder Michael Cuddyer on the 15 day disabled list due to a neck injury. He was hitting .319 with 7 home runs and 23 RBI's.

In American Legion baseball, the Casper Oilers clubbed the Cheyenne Hawks Sunday 14-1 at Mike Lansing Field. Cam Huber led the Oiler's offense with 4 RBI's. The Oilers scored 12 runs in the bottom of the 5th to improve to 11-2 on the season. Kyle Keith threw a no-hitter as the Oilers drilled Laramie 18-1. On Friday the Oilers lost to Cheyenne Post 6 10-8. So the gap between Post 6 who has dominated Legion baseball in Wyoming the past maybe narrowing.The Oilers will be at Wheatland on Tuesday.

In the NBA playoffs, Golden State defeated San Antonio 97-87 to even that Western Conference semifinals at 2 games apiece. Harrison Barnes had 26 for the Warriors. Tim Duncan with 19 points for the Spurs.

In the Stanley Cup Playoffs in hockey,  the 2nd seed in the Western Conference Anaheim has been eliminated as Detroit wins game 7 of that series 3-2 on the road. The Red Wings trailed in that series 2 games to none and 3 games to 2. Detroit plays Chicago in the next round. In the Eastern Conference, the New York Rangers defeated Washington 1-0 to force a game 7 in that series. Toronto beat Boston 2-1 to force a game 7.

Tiger Woods won the Players Championship Golf Tournament on Sunday in Florida with a final round of 70 to win it by 2 strokes. Woods is the 4th 2-time winner of the event and has won 78 tournaments on the PGA tour.
