The Colorado Rockies broke a 3 game losing streak with a 6-5 win over Atlanta in 12-innings at Coors Field on Wednesday afternoon. Yorvit Torealba drove in the game winning run in the bottom of the 12th. Former Casper player Dexter Fowler drove in 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th to tie things up. Colorado starts a 4 game series tonight in Arizona.

Kelly Walsh has hired Sara Tuami as their new head coach replacing Pat Scissons.Tuami was the Trojans freshman coach the last 2 seasons. Tuami played her high school at Billings Senior. She had an outstanding career in college at Weber State where she was named all conference in the Big Sky 3 times and averaged 16 points a game her senior year back in 2008.

The first round of the NBA playoffs continued Wednesday night. In the west conference, Oklahoma City the top seed beat Houston 105-102 to take a 2 games to none lead in that series. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook each with 29 for the Thunder.

In the east, Indiana defeated Atlanta 113-98 as Paul George threw in 27  for the Pacers. Indiana now takes a 2 games to none lead in the opening series.
