The Colorado Rockies picked up their first win of the season as they defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 8-4 on Tuesday night in Milwaukee. The Rockies lost the season opener on Monday afternoon 5-4 in 10-innings. Troy Tulowitski homered for the 2nd straight game, Carlos Gonzoles also homered for the 2nd straight game, giving Manager Walt Weiss his first major league victory. The two teams will wrap up their series tonight. The Rockies have their home opener this Friday at Coors Field when they host San Diego.

Wyoming Cowgirls basketball has announced that two players on their squad are leaving the program. Allison Gorrell started all 32 games and averaged 3 points and 3 rebounds per game. Aubry Boehme is also leaving the team after averaging 1 point and 1 rebound per contest. Boehme was a junior college All-American from Otero, Colorado.

In college men's basketball, long time assistant at New Mexico Craig Neal has been named the Loboes new head coach. He succeeds Steve Alford who took the UCLA job. Neal has been the top assistant under Alford for the past six seasons.

The Colorado Rockies lost to Nashville on the road Tuesday night 3-1. Matt Duchene with the lone goal for the Av's who have now lost 13 road games in a row.
