With the score tied,  bases loaded, and no outs in the bottom of the ninth, the Casper Ghosts seemed to be on their way to the first home victory of the season...but a good Idaho Falls defense killed any hopes of a Casper win.

Here's Ghosts announcer Adam Spolane's recap of the extended contest:

In a game that featured 11 errors, multiple comebacks, and bad baserunning, the Casper Ghosts fell 7-6 to the Idaho Falls Chukars in 10 innings at Mike Lansing field, their sixth straight loss.

Casper took the lead in the second when Sam Mende homered to right field to lead off the inning. With two outs Jose Rivera doubled down the right field line, and he got to third on an error by right fielder Ysmelin Alacantara. Yafistel Roja brought him home with on an infield single to give the Ghosts a 2-0 lead.

Idaho Falls got one of the runs back against Ghosts starter Danny Winkler. Runey Davis walked with one out, and got to second on a balk. He scored on a single to center field by Darian Sandford, his fifth RBI of the series.

In the fifth the Ghosts tacked on another run. Yafistel Roja tried to bunt his way on, the ball rolled to the pitcher Jonathan Dooley, bobbled it at first and then his throw to first went over the head of first baseman Henry Moreno, which allowed Roja to get to third. He scored on a single by David Kandilas to give the Ghosts a 3-1 lead....
