T-Bird Women’s Basketball Sign Two Area Standouts

The Casper College women's basketball program has signed two area standouts to play for the T-Birds next season.  Shelby Garska of Natrona  and Shelby Stewart of Glenrock will become members of the two-time Region-IX champions next fall.

Garska help lead the Fillies to a fifth place finish in the 4A tournament in March. Garska was the second leading scorer averging 11.5 per game. Garska also led the team with 2.7 steals per contest. She also was tops in assists, free throws and free throw percentage. Stewart was a two-time all-stater for the Herders. She averaged 17.8 points and 6.4 rebounds. Stewart shot 41 percent from beyond the arc.  Stewart is following her sister Josie who played for the T-Birds from 2007-09 before going on to play at Cameron University in Oklahoma.
