The Casper College men's and women's basketball teams picked up Central sub-region wins Friday night over Gillette College at Swede Erickson Gym. The T-Bird women remain unbeaten in sub-region play with a 77-64 win over the Pronghorns. The T-Birds led at halftime 32-28 and went on the outscore Gillette 45-36 in the second half. Sherece Huddlin had a great night with a double-double, 20 points and 11 rebounds for the T-Birds. Rosalie Cutri with 16 and Lindsey Fearing dumped in 15 points to pace the T-Birds (14-7, 4-0 Central sub-region). The Pronghorns, (14-7, 3-1 Central) were led in scoring by Katie Strandholm with 16 points. DeShara Washington and Elisha Hensey each had 10. In the men's game, the T-Birds were able to hold the nation's leading scorer Ryan Aaron to 18 points on 8 of 21 shooting from the field as Casper College beat Gillette College 74-68. Aaron came into Friday night's game averaging 27.5 points  per contest, tops in the Junior College ranks. The T-Birds were led in scoring by Casper Kelly Walsh grad Cobi Eskew with 16 points. Brandon Walton had 15 and Ty Larson with 12 points for the T-Birds. Three other Pronghorns (16-5, 2-2 Central)  were in double figure scoring. Naquan Pierce with 16, Matt Strickland 12 and Justin Casey with 11. The T-Birds (15-6, 3-1 Central) will host Laramie County Community College on Wednesday night at 7:30. Both the T-Bird teams will be in action Saturday as they host Eastern Wyoming College for Homecoming. The women's game at 3:00 and the men's game at 5:00. Both games on AM 1400 ESPN.
