"What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?" ANOTHER expensive repair.

The unstoppable force paradox played out once more in 2017 when a commercial vehicle struck the bridge. Now crews are repairing the damage.

It's not the first time. I took the above picture of an oversize load accident in 2014. Daniel with Reiman Corporation in Cheyenne thinks the overpass may need further work in a couple of years. George with WYDOT also said it's been hit a lot and the bridge may need raising in the future, after being hit 3 times in the last 4 years. Of course, that will take a lot of money.

Friday, workmen in hazmat suits were removing lead paint from the bridge so heat treatment structural repairs can begin, weather permitting. For now, lane closures are in effect on Interstate 80 while work is underway.

What is it with Cheyenne bridges over I-80?
