The Wyoming Cowboys season came to an end as Western Michigan beat the Pokes 75-67 in overtime in the second round of the College Basketball Invitational Monday night at the AA in Laramie. The Cowboys had a golden opportunity to win it down the stretch but Josh Adams hit just 1 of 2 free throws in the last 10 seconds, which allowed Western Michigan a chance to tie the game, which they did as David Brown hit a 3 pointer from the corner to even the contest at 59 and send into overtime. In the overtime, the Cowboys were outscored 16-8. Larry Nance Jr. led the Pokes in scoring with 19 points. The Cowboys struggled hitting a 3-pointer as they were only 3 of 17. Western Michigan was led in scoring by Shayne Whittington with 16. The Wyoming finished the season with a record of 20-14. Monday night's attendance at the AA was 2,544.

The Denver Nuggets had their 15 game win streak snapped Monday night at the hands of New Orleans 110-86. The Hornets went 14 of 25 from 3 point land. They were led in scoring by Ryan Anderson who dumped in 23 points and had 18 assists. Danilo Gallinari had 24 points for the Nuggets.

The Miami Heat continued their win streak, now at 27. The Heat with a 108-94 win over Orlando Monday night. Lebron James led the Heat with 24 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds. Miami is now 6 straight wins away from tying the NBA record set by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1971-72.

In spring training baseball, the Colorado Rockies roughed up the Cleveland Indians Monday night in Cactus League play in Arizona 18-4. Todd Helton had 4 hits for the Rockies as well as former Casper player Wilin Rosario. Former Casper player Dexter Fowler with hits in the game and improved his batting average to .364.

Tiger Woods won the Bay Hill Classic in Orlando Monday by 2 strokes over Justin Rose. Woods has regained number one in the world golf standings with the win. Woods has now won Arnold Palmer's golf tournament at Bay Hill 8 times.
