Casper College Lady T-Birds saw their season come to an end at the hands of top seed and host Western Nebraska 57-40 Tuesday night in Scottsbluff Nebraska. The T-Birds finish the season at 24-8. Western Nebraska will play McCook in one semifinal tonight with Gillette and Northwest of Powell in the other. The Region-IX men's tournament wraps up tonight at Erickson Gym at Casper College. Defending champion Otero will play North Platte for the right to go to the national tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas. Otero beat Northwest of Powell and North Platte eliminated Northeastern JC of Sterling, Colorado.

The Wyoming Cowboys close out their home regular season tonight when they host rival Colorado State in round 2 of the Border War. The Cowboys are 4-11 in the Mountain West Conference. The Cowboys are playing to stay out of the pig tail game in the conference tournament next week in Las Vegas. Fresno State is also 4-11 and Nevada is 3-11. The Pokes leading scorer and rebounder Leonard Washington is questionable for tonight's game with a sore back. CSU comes in at 9-5 in league play and 22-7 overall. Tonight's game is at 8:00pm on AM 1030 KTWO.

The state 3A and 4A boys and girls basketball tournaments begin Thursday. The 4A will open up at Erickson Gym at Casper College. The Kelly Walsh boys will match up with Cheyenne Central at noon. The Natrona girls will play Laramie at 6:00pm. All Kelly Walsh and Natrona games will be carried on AM 1400 ESPN. The 3A tournaments will open up at the Casper Events Center.
