The Wyoming Cowgirls saw their four-game winning streak snapped with last night's 65-60 road loss at Fresno State.

Wyoming (17-7, 8-5) led by six points at halftime, but failed to hold on. The Cowgirls went scoreless for a four minute span in the second half, and that's when the Bulldogs seized the lead for good. An 8-0 spurt put Fresno State in front 55-48. UW pulled within 59-55 before the Bulldogs' Taylor Thompson sealed their win with a key 3-pointer with 42 second left.

Fresno State (15-10, 9-5) was led by Thompson. She scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. The Bulldogs shot 51.6 percent from the field in the second half. They also had 34 points in the paint.

The Cowgirls were led by Fallon Lewis with 18 points and eight rebounds. Kayla Woodward and Chelan Landry added 13 points apiece. Wyoming shot 34.4 percent (21-61) from the floor.

Wyoming will try to bounce back on Saturday, February 22, when they take on league leader and rival Colorado State. The first edition of the women's basketball Border War is set for a 2 p.m. start at the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie.
