Wyoming Girls Basketball Polls
Sheridan, Douglas, Lovell and Snake River remain on top in the latest Wyopreps.com/Coach's/Media girls basketball polls. All four number one teams each picked up two wins last week, although 2A's Lovell Lady Bulldogs lost to third ranked Cody Fillies of 3A 49-43 on Tuesday night.
In the 4A , Sheridan who remains unbeaten at 17-0 collected all 13 first place votes is followed by Gillette. Cheyenne Central remain number three despite losing to Sheridan 74-46 and Gillette 62-41. They are tied with Laramie. Natrona is back in at number five, replacing Cheyenne East who lost to both Sheridan and Gillette. In 3A, Douglas picked up all 21 first place votes. The Bearcats are 17-2 and winners of their last 15 games. Mountain View remains number two with Cody moving up two at number three. Wheatland remains fourth and Buffalo drops to fifth after losing to Wheatland last week, 51-46. In the 2A voting this week, there's no change in the top five with Lovell getting 12 of the 18 first place votes and holding down the number one spot. Rocky Mountain and Big Horn are second and third respectively and each getting three first place votes. They are followed by Wyoming Indian and Tongue River. And in the 1A top five, Snake River is on top again with eight of the nine first place ballots followed by Kaycee with the other first place vote. Burlington and Cokeville are tied for third and Chugwater in at fifth replacing Meeteetse.
