There's one new #1 team in the latest coaches/media rankings, although 2 #1's lost week.

There was only 1 change in the latest 4A Boys rankings. Cheyenne Central and Campbell County retain the top 2 spots. As a result of their tie with Central last week, Laramie moves into a tie with Rock Springs for #3. The Plainsmen visit the Camels this weekend. Natrona is still #5 and some might be asking why this is, considering the Mustangs have dropped 3 of their last 4.

Musical chairs is the name of the game in the 3A Boys rankings. Lander is the new #1 team, but they had to settle for a tie earlier this week vs. #4 Cody. Torrington holds at #2, while Riverton is up to #3, after their win last week vs. former #1, now #5 Worland. The Warriors host the Broncs on Friday, with the #1 seed in the northwest on the line.

It's a close vote for #1, #2 and #3 in 4A Girls. Cheyenne East retains their #1 spot, even though they lost last week home vs. #2 Laramie. Campbell County is down 1 spot to #3 and visit the Lady Plainsmen this weekend. #4 Kelly Walsh is no longer undefeated, because Laramie brought them back to Earth earlier in the week. #5 Cheyenne Central hosts the Lady Thunderbirds on Friday.

The big match is in the 3A Girls rankings this weekend. #1 and undefeated Cody visits #2 Worland on Friday. This game is huge not just because of rankings, but playoff seeding as well. #3 Star Valley will conclude their conference business this weekend vs. Riverton. Buffalo continues to hold down the #4 ranking, and it's Douglas that now has the unstable #5 ranking. That's the ranking that keeps losing each week.
