Wyoming High School Girls Basketball Polls
There's a new number one in 1A girls basketball this week in the latest Wyopreps.com, Coach's and Media basketball poll. Snake River and Kaycee trade spots at one and two.
Snake River won both games last week and Kaycee lost a game, but it was to second rated in 2A unbeaten Big Horn 42-29. The rest of the top five remains the same with Cokeville, Burlington and Encampment. In 4A, Sheridan claims the top spot for another week. The Lady Broncs are followed by Cheyenne Central who stays in second despite losing their first game of the season to Scottsbluff Nebraska 46-44. Gillette is third, Laramie takes over at four replacing Casper Natrona who lost to Gillette and Sheridan last weekend. Natrona is in fifth this week. In 3A, Douglas picked up 18 of the 20 first ballots to hold down the top spot. Cody is second and Mountain View is third, each picking up a first place vote. Buffalo is fourth followed by Wheatland. The closes voting for number one this week comes in 2A as Lovell edged out Big Horn. Rocky Mountain is third, Tongue River fourth and Burns fifth replacing Pine Bluffs.
