Wyoming High School Volleyball Rankings: Sept. 21, 2017
According to the latest coaches and media rankings, a big week of matches in both 4A and 1A is on the schedule for this weekend.
Ten of the 13 teams in 4A will be at the Casper Invitational. This includes the top 5 of #1 Kelly Walsh, #2 Cheyenne East, #3 Laramie, #4 Campbell County and co #5's Green River and Natrona. GR has an argument for having the #5 spot to themselves, considering they swept NC at Casper last week.
Rawlins rules the roost in 3A. The Lady Outlaws are the unanimous #1 team and will also be at Casper Invite, along with #2 Douglas and #4 Riverton. Meanwhile #3 Worland and #5 Powell will enjoy their home court this weekend vs. 3A opponents,
There's not much in the way of big matchups this weekend in 2A, as most teams are settling into conference play. Sundance and Wright are still ranked #1 and #2. They play each other next week. Southeast moves up one spot to #3 while Big Piney and Lusk are new the rankings, sharing the #4 spot.
All the big games in 1A are in the west this weekend. It's unanimous #1 hosting #2, and then #2 visits #3. and #4 visits #3. Cokeville visits both Little Snake River and Encampment, while Farson-Eden will also visit Encampment. That leaves Lingle-Ft. Laramie at #5 this week.
