While it's true Wyoming is full of beauty, it also has some flat out boring drives. The roads are long and straight, the landscape is desolate and barren, and it's a couple hundred miles between rest stops.

Here are the drives that take the cake as Wyoming's most boring.

  • 1

    Casper to Shoshoni

The absolute worst, except for the hustle and bustle of Powder River, Hiland, and Moneta.

  • 2

    Rawlins to Rock Springs

This is the couple hour stretch of Interstate 80 Wyoming drivers dread the most. It's between the beauty of Elk Mountain and red rocks of Sweetwater County.

  • 3

    Cheyenne to Wheatland

Between Wheatland and Douglas there's a small stretch of road with actual vegetation, so we made the cutoff at Wheatland.

  • 4

    Ranchetts to Torrington

The only thing to keep you interested in Highway 85 might be the narrow sections and heavy truck traffic.

  • 5

    Farson to Kemmerer

This combination of highway 28 and 189 is pretty brutal. In the summer, there's plenty of construction to look at.
