INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Cody Zeller scored 16 points and Christian Watford finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds to help No. 1 Indiana pull away from Nebraska 76-47. The Hoosiers improve to 22-3 and 10-2 in the Big Ten. They have won seven of eight and regained a share of the league lead. They are tied with Michigan State.

Dylan Talley scored 10 of his 16 points in the first half to lead the 12-13 Cornhuskers.

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Mason Plumlee had 18 points and 11 rebounds and No. 2 Duke beat North Carolina 73-68. Quinn Cook scored 18 points for the 22-2 Blue Devils.

Duke shot 44 percent and used a big run in the second half to erase a slow start and win their sixth straight this season and sixth in eight meetings in college basketball's fiercest rivalry. The Tar Heels fall to 16-8.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Shane Larkin scored 13 of his 22 points in the final 7 1/2 minutes to help third-ranked Miami stave off Florida State 74-68 its 12th straight victory. Reggie Johnson added 15 points for the Hurricanes who improve to 20-3 and 11-0 in the ACC. They are the first team to start the league season 11-0 in a dozen years.

The Hurricanes overcame an early 13-2 deficit to lead 38-30 at halftime.

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Freshman Omar Calhoun scored 15 points, including three 3-pointers in the deciding second-half run, and Connecticut beat No. 6 Syracuse 66-58 in the last scheduled game between the national powers.

Syracuse will play next season in the Atlantic Coast Conference while Connecticut will stay in the realigned Big East although the Huskies could be enticed to head to another conference if asked.

Ryan Boatright had 17 points for Connecticut, which ups its record to 17-6. The Orange fall to 20-4 with Michael Carter-Williams leading the way with 15 points.

Elsewhere:

— Pierria Henry scored 17 points to lead Charlotte to a 71-67 upset over No. 11 Butler. Chris Braswell and Willie Clayton each had 11 points for the 18-6 49ers, who ended a two-game skid.

— Markel Brown scored 25 points and matched a career high with seven 3-pointers to lead No. 17 Oklahoma State over Texas Tech 91-67. Phil Forte added 14 points for the 18-5 Cowboys, who have won six straight.

— Kendall Williams scored 13 points and No. 19 New Mexico overcame an 11-point halftime deficit to defeat Fresno State 54-48.

— Jerian Grant scored 21 points, including a big three-point play in overtime, to lift No. 21 Notre Dame to an 82-78 win over DePaul..

— Joe Jackson had 21 points and 10 assists, four other Memphis players scored in double figures and the 22nd-ranked Tigers beat Central Florida 93-71. The 21-3 Tigers have won 15 straight.

— Johnathan Loyd scored all 11 of his points in the second half as No. 23 Oregon snapped a two-game road losing streak with a 65-52 win over Washington.

— Dorian Green hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with a minute remaining and a three-point play with 19 seconds left as No. 24 Colorado State celebrated its first game as a ranked team in 59 years with a thrilling 66-60 win over San Diego State.

 

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky freshman Nerlens Noel (NUR'-lehns noh-EHL'), the nation's leading shot blocker, is out for the rest of the season with a torn ligament in his left knee. Noel tore his ACL on Tuesday night when No. 25 Kentucky lost at Florida.

The 6-foot-10 forward will have surgery in two or three weeks with the projected recovery period between six and eight months.
