Some Casper residents may remember that fateful day ten years ago when massive flooding happened around the city.

The video above, which was posted by CalculatedRiskFilms, shows just some of the raw footage from July 3rd, 2009. According to the YouTube channel, the flood measured 4.5 inches of rain in less than an hour.

I personally remember the date, because my basement flooded in my brand new home and consequently ended up costing me thousands of dollars. My home was located in the then new housing area near Sagewood Elementary, on the south side of town.

Do you remember the flood? Feel free to tell us your story in the comments.
