An Amber Alert has been issued for two Iowa boys who have apparently been kidnapped by their mother.

Morgan and Landon Griffin, aged 12 and 11 respectively were kidnapped by Mary Purcell in Des Moines, Iowa on Tuesday, and she is thought to be driving them to Oregon. She lost her custodial rights to the boys, and there is a warrant out for her arrest in Polk County, Iowa. The Sheriff says they believe the boys may be in danger.

Purcell, 35, is 5 feet 2 inches tall with brown hair and green eyes. Morgan Griffin is 5 foot 3 and 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Landon Griffin is 5 foot 4 and 135 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

One of the boys has a medical condition that requires constant monitoring.

She is driving a 2003, brown Chevrolet Suburban, License number CRY371. It is an Iowa plate.
