The Cowboy offense earned some praise from head coach Craig Bohl after Wyoming went through another practice of spring drills Tuesday.

Coach Bohl discussed the quarterbacks, offensive line and running backs showing improvement during the seventh practice. Bohl also was asked about injuries and their impact at certain spots, plus how it might affect Saturday’s major scrimmage, which is closed to the public and media.

Injuries have hit certain position groups harder than others. Bohl said that running backs Kellen Overstreet and Trey Woods were hurt in the last week. Overstreet will have shoulder surgery and miss the rest of spring, while Woods is also a shoulder, but the extent is unknown. Bohl did say he thinks it’s pretty significant.

Other spots where the Pokes are thin due to players recovering from injury or surgery in the off-season include wide receiver and along the defensive line.

UW returns to practice Thursday afternoon for their eighth of 15 practices allowed under NCAA rules during the spring.
