The Denver Broncos breezed by the New Orleans Saints 34-14 Sunday night at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium. Peyton Manning threw for 305 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Broncos moved up and down the field to the tune of 530 yards against the NFL's worst defense. Manning threw for over 300 yards for the 5th straight game as the Broncos improve to 4-3 and have won 2 in a row for the first time this year. Denver will be at Cincinnati this Sunday. The Bengals (3-4) had a bye week.

The Wyoming Cowboys lost to 19th ranked Boise State 45-14 Saturday afternoon at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie. The Pokes and Broncos were tied at 7 before Boise State took the lead at half 17-7. The Broncos opened up the second half with 21 3rd quarter points. Runningback D.J. Harper rushed for 105 yards and 2 touchdowns for Boise. Cowboy quarterback Brett was 24 of 35 for 216 yards and no touchdowns and was sacked 4 times. The Pokes are 1-7 overall and 0-4 in the Mountain West Conference. Boise State goes to 7-1 and 4-0 in conference. Wyoming host rival Colorado State in the Border War Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm. The Rams (2-6, 1-3) beat Hawaii in Fort Collins Saturday 42-27.

The San Francisco Giants made quick work of the Detroit Tigers completing the sweep Sunday night 4-3 in 10-innings. Marco Scuturo came up with the game winning 2 out RBI single in the top of the 10th inning. The Giants finished the post season with 6 straight wins to take their 2nd world championship in the last three years.

Wyoming high school football playoffs move into the semifinal round this Friday. In 4A, Natrona will host Cheyenne East. Kickoff is at 7:00pm with the pregame show at 6:45 on AM 1400 ESPN. The other semifinal in 4A has Sheridan at Gillette.
