BOSTON (AP) — Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron (pah-TREES' BEHR'-zhehr-ahn) is day-to-day after being injured in the Stanley Cup finals against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Coach Claude Julien (ZHOO'-lee-ehn) said he hopes his star center will be able to play in Game 6 on Monday night. Asked if it was an upper or lower body injury, Julien said, "body."

Bergeron was discharged from a Chicago hospital and flew home with the team Sunday morning. He got off the team bus at the TD Garden, went straight to his car and was driven away.

Bergeron was injured in the second period of Saturday night's 3-1 loss. Chicago leads the series 3-2 heading into Game 6 in Boston on Monday night.

TORONTO (AP) — The Toronto Maple Leafs have picked up a potential No. 1 goaltender from the Kings, sending forward Matt Frattin (FRAT'-ihn), backup netminder Ben Scrivens and a pair of second-round picks to Los Angeles for Jonathan Bernier (BURN'-yay).

The 24-year-old Bernier was 9-3-1 with a 1.88 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage as the backup to Jonathan Quick this year.
