Casper College Defeats Sheridan Volleyball

Casper College swept Sheridan in three straight on Tuesday night 25-22, 25-12 and 25-20 at Erickson Gym. The T-Birds are 5-10 with the win and the Generals drop to 10-5. Casper College will participate in the WYO-Braska tournament in Torrington and Scottsbluff this Friday and Saturday. Casper will host a big high school volleyball tournament this Friday and Saturday at the Casper Events Center.

The Wyoming Cowboys are gearing up for perhaps the biggest football game in school's history when they host ninth rated Nebraska this Saturday evening at War Memorial Stadium. The Cowboys (3-0) are coming off their first road win of the year at Bowling Green 28-27, blocking a game-tying extra point with three seconds remaining. The Cornhuskers (3-0) with all three wins at home, defeated Washington Saturday 51-38. Kickoff is at 5:30pm with the pregame show at 4:30 on AM 1030 KTWO.

The Colorado Rockies lost to the San Diego Padres Tuesday night 2-1 at Coors Field. The Rockies who have lost six in a row and seven of their last eight, played without three of their stars out with injuries. Troy Tulowitski, Todd Helton and Carlos Gonzalez. The Rockies play their final home game of the season, wrapping up the series with the Padres this afternoon.
