Junior College volleyball tonight as the Casper College T-Birds will have their home opener as they'll host 6th ranked Western Nebraska at Erickson Gym. Casper College opened up the season facing some nationally top ranked teams.

They participated in a tournament in Idaho going 2-2. The T-Birds beat Snow College and Utah State-Eastern , but lost to #1-Southern Idaho and 7th ranked Salt Lake. This years team features 4 players from Casper. Maggie Butler and Fallon Griffin from Kelly Walsh along with Staylee Brown and Rainee Jackson fron Natrona. Match time tonight is at 7pm.

College football and it's game week for the Wyoming Cowboys as they'll open the season at 15th ranked Texas. Both the Cowboys and Longhorns are coming off 8 win seasons. Texas is picked by most publications to finish 2nd to Oklahoma in the Big 12. The Pokes are a 24 point underdog going into Austin where the Pokes will play before 100,000 fans, plus temperatures at kickoff of near 100 degrees at 6pm. In Major League baseball, the Colorado Rockies crushed the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-0 at Coors Field on Monday night. The Rockies pitching allowed just 4 hits. The Rockies also jumped on Dodger's starting pitcher Josh Beckett who was acquired from Boston and touched him for 3 runs in 5 2/3 innings. Former Casper Wilin Rosario homered in the game for Colorado. Game two is tonight in Denver.

The Casper schools are back on the road this Friday night. Kelly Walsh will be at Evanston in the Prep game of the Week. Kickoff is at 6pm with the pregame show at 5:45pm on AM 1400 ESPN. Top ranked Natrona travels to second ranked Sheridan at 7pm.
