The Casper Cutthroats collegiate team beat Loveland 8-6 at Lansing Field Thursday night as Blake Coffman had 4 RBI's. The Cutthroats with a 4 run 3rd inning, but had to hang on from there.

With just 3 games left in the regular season, Casper trails Fort Collins by one game in the Mountain Collegiate League standings and leads Cheyenne by 1 game for 2nd place. The top two teams will qualify for the playoffs. The Cutthroats continue their last regular season homestand tonight when they host Laramie at Lansing Field at 6pm.

The National High School Finals Rodeo continues today in Rock Springs in the 2nd go-round. In the steer wrestling, Cutter Dehart of Laramie is running 12th in the average and sitting 12th in the go-round. On the girls side, Kaylie Haun of Torrington is 7th in the 2nd round of the barrel racing. Coralee Spratt is 9th in the goat tying. There will be 2 more sessions today with the finals Saturday.

The Wyoming Coaches Association All-Star basketball  games and volleyball match will be played Saturday afternoon at Erickson Gym at Casper College. The volleyball match will start at 1pm, followed by the girls basketball game at 3pm and the boys game at 5pm. Graduated seniors from around the state are participating with the north playing the south.
